As a trained integrative counsellor, I practice using a combination of counselling theories and techniques, which are adapted especially for you, because you are a unique individual.

I trained at The Iron Mill College in Exeter and have a Foundation Degree from the University of Worcester. I continue to attend courses and lectures to gain further knowledge and qualifications in some of the specialist areas of counselling and psychology, including, creative arts, trauma, bereavement and loss, eating disorders, suicidality, focusing, and self compassion.

I come from a background of careers in helping and guiding people to make choices and improve their lives.

“It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.”

Carl Rogers

Sometimes life can be overwhelming, and things do not feel right. Just what are you feeling? How can you become content and understand those thoughts?

Together we will work to find the solutions to help you cope and move forward with whatever difficulties you are facing. We will work at your own pace and help you find the inner strength you need. Your journey from your darkness back into your light.

Talking to a qualified counsellor can really help. It can be tough asking for support and it is important to find someone you can feel comfortable with.

Sessions are one hour long and usually take place on the same day at the same time each week. The cost per session is £50 for face-to-face or £45 for online and telephone consultations. Reduced rates and special concessions for students, keyworkers, pensioners and the disabled. I accept cash, bank transfers and most major credit/debit cards.

I believe the connection between us is central to our relationship. I, therefore, offer an initial meeting free of charge with no further commitment. This will be face to face, online or by telephone and can be anything up to 45 minutes, for you to come to a decision about whether I am right for you and if you feel we can work together.
